The MF’s Strategic Plan For the Next Five Years
In view of the burdened local economy, the road map in your media pack, outlined how existing resources must be used to meet our challenges.
The key focus areas are managerial in nature, revolving around implementation.
South Africa’s strengths and opportunities must be optimized to reduce challenges and negate weaknesses.
As a government our image has to be improved nationally and internationally; moreover closer to home, goodwill has to be established amongst all communities.
MF’s Golden Principles:
- Good governance based on best practices,
- Respect for multiparty democracy,
- Restore inter community relationship,
- “Remove race” in all decisions,
- Respect and provide for the customs, traditions and language of citizens,
- Get the best value for the tax payer’s money that provides facilities and services in all areas and communities on the basis of fairness and equitability.
Some of our key election issues are:
(a) fair administrative justice,
(b) equality for all,
(c) scrapping unfair race based policies, like affirmative action and university quota’s,
(d) establishing a Minorities Ministry and Minorities Commission,
(e) a proper policy for Eastern languages,,
(f) more private medical schools and nursing colleges,
(g) a widows grant
(h) grants increased to R 2 000-00
Reshaping SA for the next 20 years:
The external key factors are the improvement of all governing systems with the appropriate technology.
The MF calls for economic legislative and social policy review as follows:
- The scrapping of A.A. and its replacement with equal opportunities programme.
- BBBEE where black means Indians and Coloured minorities as well.
Social issues hurting South Africans daily are:
a) Crime: MF calls for the death penalty for heinous crimes together with a water-tight forensic system.
b) Housing: A balance between social, rental housing and low to middle income ownership schemes.
c) Unemployment: innovative job creation policies eg. a separate entrepreneurship university, a database for prospective employers and employees. Increase Employment:
i. Make wage and labour costs more responsive to local labour market conditions and skills levels of workers
ii. Reform job security laws that reduces job expansion and increases unemployment duration
iii. Reform tax and welfare benefit systems that both decrease the demand for labour and reduce the incentive to take a job
iv. Improve labour market skills through improved training and education systems, Austria
d) Scarce skills: more private universities, eg. Medical and Dental schools, agricultural, teaching and nursing colleges.
- The universities, departments, parastatals
- NGO’s and civil society movements guide government, hence must be funded adequately.
The MF’s 2014 Strategic plan therefore broadly focuses on protecting what we have achieved. Social cohesion, nation-building, and an active citizenry must now be the goal.
This strategic plan is implementable and will provide a workable solution to freeze economic decline by creating a sustained upward mobility of S. African’s economy for the next 5 years, especially if all born frees are not discriminated upon or adversely included in governments plan.
